I found something else interesting. If I select FM-D manually on the IC 7600, I can then use the Vara software to switch back and forth between the individual frequencies from the dropdown menu. Then the IC 7600 also stays on FM-D. I'll see if that works with the QSY and if it stays in FM-D mode addendum.. Yes, after a short test on 6m in Auto QSY mode, it works.
