This transceiver does not allow to program a VFO between different bands. So you cannot QSY between e.g. 2m and 70cm via a QSY in VarAC as the cat structure of the TM-D710 does not support it.
BUT by programming a memory every band is possible. So I changed the section for Kenwood TM-D710 in the VarAC_cat_commands.ini for memory use. Check if you have the latest firmware in your TM-D710.
As long as Irad has not changed this section, you can do it with every simple editor. Find attached the new procedure as file VarAC TM-D710 CAT V3_1.pdf
