Trying to get CAT to work with my FTdx10 connected to a windows 10 pc running VARAac. settings are to CAT and same enhanced port and settings use for cat with wsjtx. It will not key up and test ptt does nothing. I get an error that the com port is used by another application but nothing else is running. Any sugestions ?

As it says - it is used by another application.
It can be any of your other softwares that controls the rig that was previously launched but not killed. You can use things like VSPE if you want to make multiple apps access the same com port.
