    in VarAC discussion forum

Hello chatters! We know it gets pretty busy lately on 20M and 40M, and we see you are looking for calling frequencies on other bands.

20M and 40M will remain our primary Day/Night QRGs, but we are happy to share with you our new calling QRG plan.

This plan took into consideration the IARU1/2/3 band plans.

The upcoming version of VarAC will including these frequencies. But you can update your VarAC_frequencies.conf file now:

    7.105.000 - Primary night time
    3.595.000
    10.133.000
    18.106.000
    21.105.000
    24.927.000
    28.105.000
    50.330.000

    73s!

I did some diggint. 1830 is not ok for IARU 2. 1850 is a good place for all IARUs. I will add this to future versions.

    Irad,

Has anyone considered adding a few additional (preferred) QSY frequencies on 40m or 20m for calling CQ, rather than using Calling Frequencies, which evoke

    time-out popup? (kinda like a VARAC Band-plan).

    As an example:

    7105.750, 7106.50, 7107.25, 7108.00

    14105.750, 14106.50, 14107.25, 14108.00

    All assume no existing traffic!

It will be interesting to see if CQ Calls get noticed?

    Thoughts?

    Terry

Hey Terry. Next version will alow FREE FORM QSY - meaning you can pick any freq you like and invite your partner to QSY to that freq.
