I don't understand the meaningful use of the <HCALL> <HNAME> <HQTH> <HLOC> tags.
When I want to announce my station data to fill the log line at my QSO partner, I use Channed Message #1, which has my name, QTH and Loc in it.
If I already had a connection with a callsign, then its name (QTH, LOC) would be interesting to greet it individually!
The corresponding data are stored in the logbook (VarAC_qso_log.adi) after all!
The function <HNAME>, possibly also <HQTH> <HLOC>, should therefore access the local logbook (VarAC_qso_log.adi) at every further connect, determine the name (QTH, LOC) of the QSO partner and take it over to greet the QSO partner with his name!
So the welcome message could look like this:
Welcome to VarAC v5.1.8 <HNAME> tnx connect me agn....
If the tags <HNAME> <HQTH> <HLOC> access the log data, it would speed up the process of a QSO a lot I think.
If the Partners callsign is not yet in the logbook, it is a 1`st QSO ! Sending and receiving the station data is necessary anyway to fill the logbook completely.
