Using Flrig for both VarAc and Fldigi, both flmsg and flamp will both stop TXing shortly after a clean start. Immediately after closing VarAC, both programs transmit fine.
I didn't look at the timing, but I suspect that's about right.
How about an option to turn that off, or turn if off by default when using flrig? Otherwise we won't be able to use varAC with other programs that share CAT control through flrig. Turfman and I both are using this for emcomm in conjunction with fldigi and js8call.
It looks like that's the issue. Top of the minute, it kills the TX. Many Fldigi messages can take up to 3 minutes in a single TX cycle. It's important that they not be interrupted as they won't start up again.
VarAC sends a PTT-OFF every 1 minute on the minute as a safety mechanism. Some Rigs has their PTT locked after a PTT-OFF command for some reason.
Does this what you experience ? happens on the minute (00 seconds) ?
I have the same issue. Any program running concurrently will cease to transmit.
Seems like varAC is sending continuous PTT commands instead of "on-demand".
